String Theory or the Theory of Everything is based on an 11 dimensional idea and does what Einstein dreamed of doing, but couldn't. It unites all of the main forces in physics as well as create (at least in mathmatical terms) an answer for everything that occurs. Now the theory states that the single component of protons, electrons, quarks, and other sub-atomic particles we have discovered is a tiny vibrating string that has it's own frequency. These combine together in different ways to get everything we have.

Now who is to say all of the invisible forces that we try to get in touch with are not these vibrations culminating together or cancelling each other out like the would in sound waves or any other type of wave with physical properties?

I feel that the idea of 11-dimensional universe may really be connected to 11:11. In the so-called M-theory it turns out that space-time has 11 dimensions. M-theory was founded in 1995 and it unifies the former five string theories into one single theory. The 11 dimensions are the 3 space dimensions we are familiar with in our everyday life plus 7 additional space dimensions plus time. (In the former five string theories there were 9 space dimensions plus time.) The mathematics of the theory requires 11 dimensions in order to provide a unified description of all types of elementary particles.

One obvious question regarding the extra space dimensions is that if they exist why can't we observe them? It is usually theorized that these extra space dimensions are compactified or "curled up" into such small distances that we cannot observe them with our current technology. It has also been proposed - and this is interesting - that they may be large but matter would be bound to the three familiar space dimensions so it would be impossible for us to observe the extra dimensions (by material means), although there are speculations that communication with the extra dimensions might be possible via gravity.

I understand it like this: One 11 is for duality, the other is for Oneness.
Duality means "awareness of differences".
Oneness means "awareness that everything is One".
Both perspectives are necessary. Not just unity. Not just diversity. But - unity in diversity. And now we may find that the differentiation of One is taking place in 11 dimensions.

The problem, as I understand it, is that we somehow slid into the perspective of duality and forgot that we are One. The balance between the two perspectives was disrupted. This was the spiritual fall - consciousness of the soul became self-centered and limited, which ultimately led to our descent into matter where we became limited to three space dimensions. Now perhaps, the door back home will be opened...
